The birth of a new goat to our farm is always an anxious event. We look forward to it but we also know that things can go wrong easily. Kids not positioned correctly, doe does not dilate properly, they don't push or contract. So when all goes smoothly as it should its a big sigh of relief and a blessing to both the doe and the herd owner. This birth I caught on video to share and its what I call a text book kidding. Everything went smoothly, kids presented correct in the dive position and mom was not stressed, she pushed with strong even pushes. I assisted as needed but I am also confident she could have accomplished this birth entirely on her own.
